Welcome to Bishop Kenny. I’d like to tell you about my high school, a 4 year Catholic college preparatory school established in 1952 [shot of the bishop Kenny sign] and operated by the diocese of St. Augustine. [shot of the school]
The school is located in Northeast Florida on the South side of Jacksonville, a metropolitan center with a population of over 1 million people.[ shot of the city from the football field]
Approximately 1,200 students are enrolled in grades 9-12. [shot of the school]
We have the opportunity to get involved in numerous extracurricular activities ranging from service organizations, to fine arts clubs, to honor societies.[ shot of ROTC]
School spirit abounds during Homecoming week each year and at athletic contests both home and away. [ shot of sports activity after school]

The school has served young people for more than 50 years. Fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Bishop Kenny provides a challenging and innovative college preparatory curriculum for honors and average students alike.

Bishop Kenny’s athletic program has enjoyed a fine reputation in Jacksonville [shot of football, baseball field, and gym] and throughout the state.
The Crusader athletics program has teams in every sport sanctioned by the Florida High School Athletic Association.[shot of inside the gym] Athletes train and compete at BK’s unparalleled facilities under the direction of the school’s professional coaching staff.[shot of the weight room] In 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010 the athletic program was named the Program of the Year for Florida and has previously been ranked in the top five programs for several years.
